The vibrating sound of the helicopter was shaking the roof, and the silverware on the table.
“Are you expecting a visitor?” I asked, turning to Melanie with a frown.
“No,” she answered, her fork pausing halfway to her mouth. She looked cautious. “At least, not one with a helicopter.”
She pushed her chair back. “Stay here, Sel. I’m going to check it out.”
