I looked back over my shoulder toward the path we came from, but there was no one behind me.

“Strange,” I muttered. State

I turned back to the front only to realize Ethan was completely out of sight. He must have gone ahead to check something else or returned to his office.

“Should I go in search of the hospital?” Kellan asked me, holding the handkerchief with the apple carefully.

“We go together,” I muttered wordlessly, turning my back, proceeding to leave the pack grounds, when Melanie’s voice called out from behind me.

“Which hospital are you in search of? I can help you with that.”
