Roxanne's Point Of View

The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow on my face. At first, I tried to ignore it by burying my head deeper into the soft pillows, but the light was insistent.

But with a reluctant groan, my eyes blinked open. I've always hated mornings.

As usual, my blurry eyes danced around the room, as I tried to check my surroundings like I always do. My brows furrowed slightly into a frown when my eyes didn't land on the familiar white ceiling board in my room.

Black curtains, cream walls. Soft fabrics on hard furnishings. This wasn't my room.
