Roseline didn’t answer Dan immediately. She remained completely mute, watching in silence as Dan’s anger flared out of control.

"I can’t let anyone take away a girl I've loved all this time!" Dan shouted, his voice echoing through the hallway. "I don’t care if he’s some imaginary werewolf or a real man—I won't allow it!"
