Pamela walked past the secretary despite her protest and barged into DJ's office.

If DJ was surprised by the invasion, he gave no hint as his expression remained the same. He glanced up from his computer at Pamela and returned his gaze to the screen after signalling his secretary that it was okay to let Pamela stay.
