“Lock the doors,” I said against his mouth.

Marcus pulled back just enough to look at me. His eyes were dark and already decided. He didn’t argue or ask again.

He walked straight to the main pool doors, turned the key hard, and checked the handle twice to make sure.

When he came back the look on his face had changed completely. Whatever fight he’d been putting up all night was gone.

“Come on.”

He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the empty shower room off the locker hallway.
