I took a bite from the food, even though it took me time before I tasted it. And it settled wrongly in my stomach. I took a sip of water, trying to suppress my grimace.

It was torture.

I loathed the sight of my mum and Sebastian. I wanted to ask Marcus to come with me, but I had a feeling it was strictly family dinner.
