Silence reigned in the boardroom but I already knew what the answer was going to be. Resignation glared in their faces and I reveled in it.

It was nice being the reason for everyone's silence. Till now, I never believed such a day would come when everyone would try to please me.

Whispers went around, while Emilia looked to Dexter whose expression was unreadable for help. I kept a passive look, then began scrolling through my phone to bid time.

"We've made a decision." Dexter announced while I dropped my phone aside. "But we'll also like to know why you want Emilia to be your assistant."
