Barrett's face darkened as he trembled while untying the knot on Zoe's hand. He then tried to pull her up by her arm.

"Get up. I'm telling you, it wasn't me who caused your grandma's sudden illness. Someone sneaked into the ward."

Zoe nodded. "Okay, I believe you. None of this has anything to do with you. Just please release my brother and my grandma. It's all my fault, you can do anything to me, okay?"

She didn't get up, and Barrett felt she was truly losing her mind, driven mad by him.
