For a brief moment, Zaneska was deafeningly quiet. She felt a stab of pain in her chest as Mitch spoke. Sh e had to persuade herself that she was happy for her friend but it couldn't fit into her system.
"Are you still there, Zaneska?" Mitch asked.
"Of course,"
"What do you think? Is it okay for us to get married even though we've only been dating for nine months?"
"Of course, it makes no difference how long you've been together, but anyway, congrats in advance; I'm happy for you." Zaneska said.
