Julia’s pov

“Mom what the hell is going on this early I was barely asleep,” I mumbled rubbing my eyes as I stumbled out of my tiny bedroom into the cramped living room where the morning light barely pushed through the faded curtains.

My tank top clung to my skin from the heat and my shorts rode up my thighs showing more than I wanted anyone to see but who cared it was my house.

Mom stood there hands on her hips looking all urgent and stressed like the rent was due yesterday which it probably was.
