“Ethan, wait up, I can't believe we’re actually doing this right now,” I said as we slipped out the side gate of the party, my heart pounding so hard I thought everyone could hear it.

He grabbed my hand without a word and pulled me toward his truck.

The engine roared to life and we peeled out across town with the late afternoon sun hitting the dashboard.
