“Shit, that text,” I said, still staring at Damien’s phone as the storm raged outside, rain slamming against the windows like it wanted to.
“Who the hell knows about your ghostwriting and why are they texting you now? You got enemies or something?”
Damien shoved the phone in his pocket and ran a hand through his hair, jaw tight but his body still pressed close to mine, that thick bulge against my hip not softening one bit.
