I was probably the only one with a big smile on my face on the streets that morning. Granted, it was a Monday morning, and everyone hated Monday mornings—well, except me.
“You look dashing in that jacket, ma’am!” I said in excitement. “I have to buy one for myself.”
The little old lady looked at me quizzically for a moment before she schooled her expression and smiled. “Thank you so much, Miss.”
I kissed my fingers and blew kisses at her. She still looked taken aback when I twirled around and began to skip down the walkway.
