Three months later

Kimmy’s POV

“Hurry up, Kimmy,” Morgan shouted from the kitchen. “You’re never going to make it there on time.”

“I’m going as fast as I can,” I yelled back.

Morgan has been a godsend as a roommate. She’s my best friend, my confidant, and sometimes she acts like my mom, even though I’m two months older than her.

I scrambled out of my bedroom. “Thanks for waking me up again,” I said as I dashed around the apartment stuffing things into my bag. “I can’t believe my alarm clock didn’t go off.”
