Amelie’s POV

My heart sank. I thought they hadn’t seen the flare, so I shot a second one and waited. Then I heard it. The sound of a helicopter is coming closer.

“Morgan!” I shouted. “The helicopter is getting closer!”

“Fuck yes!” Morgan yelled. Then she ran off to wake up Kimmy.

I then saw the spotlight searching the ground. It finally landed on the tail of the plane. Then, the spotlight moved along the body of the plane until it landed on me. I waved frantically. I grinned so widely that I thought my face was going to break. My prayers had been answered.
