“Congratulations again, Amelie,” Dr. Matthews said, smiling. “Cecily will give you some pamphlets and a prescription for all your prenatal vitamins. She will also book your next appointment. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.”

“Thank you, Dr. Matthews,” I replied.

I headed out to the front counter.

“Amelie, congratulations!” Cecily exclaimed.
