Just as I was going to leave the dining room, Carrington walked in.

“Amelie, my beautiful granddaughter-to-be!” Carrington said as he walked towards me and embraced me in a hug.

“Carrington,” I hugged him back. “Thank you for everything that you are doing for us today.”
