Amelie’s POV

I reach the car at the front of the building, and I’m shocked to see Marcus there.

“Marcus? Why are you here?” I queried.

“Here to pick you up,” he said with a smile.

“I mean, aren’t you supposed to be with Nathan?” I asked.

Marcus smiled and opened the back door, and Nathan’s big grin greeted me.

“Nathan! You little sneak,” I snickered as I climbed into the back seat.

“What? Is that how you greet your fiancée?” Nathan said, flashing his debonair smile.

“Geesh… that darn Michaels smolder,” I shake my head. “If you could bottle it, you’d be a trillionaire.”
