“How did you know?” I asked with tears in my eyes.

“I heard at the hospital,” Vivian said as she stood up. “It’s weird how sometimes things happen at the perfect time. The door suddenly opens to the clinic as I walk by.”

My heart drops to my stomach. She wouldn’t dare kill my baby. Nathan’s baby. Who am I kidding? She definitely would.

“Do you think I’m kidding?” Vivian said with a wicked smile.

“No, I know you’re serious,” I declared. “What I don’t get is why you hate me so much?”
