Nathan’s POV

I saw her out of the corner of my eye, but it was too late to grab her.

“Amelie!” Tiff screamed and rushed over.

Everyone crowded around her. I got down on the floor and slowly assessed her head. There didn’t seem to be any blood.

“Someone get Gloria to call the doctor,” I demanded.

Tiff dropped down to the floor.

“Ame has a strong pulse,” Tiff said, holding Amelie’s wrist. She then lowered her ear to her chest. “Breathing is regular.”
