"Pumpkin, I haven't said anything yet and you're already crying." The man I was going to say yes to, used his other hand to wipe my eyes clean.

"I... I don't... I wasn't expecting this..." I had wanted to laugh but what left my lips was both a combination of laughter and a sob, tears welling up my eyes again as I moved my eyes to the ring. "Ouuuu," I breathed out, fanning my face with my fingers. "It's getting really hot in here." I let out a teary giggle, rubbing my arms to soothe out the goosebumps.
