Willa: What picture?

Me: A picture of the bike that hit Lionel. I got it from the police reports.

It took her a while before she responded, evn though I could see a notification that she was typing. I had a feeling she had a lot to say, but her response was short.

Willa: Have you told your man yet?

Me: No

I chose to be honest.

Willa: Why?

Me: I... I just don't have an answer for now, Willa. Just bring the picture.

I didn't want to tell her the reason. I was hellbent on carrying out this investigation on my own.

She took a much longer time...
