Lily’s POV

Standing in front of Darius with the question that he asked, I couldn't help but think of a possible way for me to escape all of this. I needed a way to escape everything he wanted to ask me. I know he would not let it go seeing that I was already tearing up. I tried to just dodge his way, but instead, he blocked me with his arm as he gripped to my hand tightly.

"Something is definitely wrong, and you are pretending. I cannot just stand there and watch you pretend to me. Okay? Tell me the truth, and I promise I would not tell anybody....
