As I slowly found my way back into the room, I could not help but believe what was actually going on. Did I hear Alpha Derek correctly? Did I hear the maids correctly? Because I don't think this is possible. He can't possibly say that “Lily is no longer a slave.” This palace, the minute he annuls her position as a slave, it weakens my position as the lunar. And I don't think I'm ever stepping down for him. I am trying my very best to make Darius the Alpha, and I can't step down for Alpha Derek, no matter what.
