I canceled everything that day—meetings, calls, deals, the kind of appointments that could’ve made me millions or saved my company from dipping. None of it mattered. Not when Marcel knew. Not when I was this close to losing everything… losing her.

I sat in my room, my back pressed against the headboard, still fully dressed in the same shirt Marcel had wrinkled when he grabbed me. My knuckles were white, clenched into fists on my lap. The weight of the truth, the shame, the fear—it was all too much. My mind kept replaying his words.
