Laura opens the door and right there was person she was expecting to see, she didn't know how she was going to react to finding her at the door looking all wasted and almost drunk, not one look at her and it was easy to say that she would be saving a damsel IN distress..

For some reason she is glad that the twins were asleep and wouldn't have to see this, so she stalled at the door for a minute before letting her in.
