Michael POV

I woke up with a jerk. I thought I heard something. Slowly, I opened my eyes and looked around.

Nothing.

Linda was still lying between James and me, her arm draped over my stomach while she laid, almost on top of me. James was hugging her from behind. And from all the things I could feel, I felt at ease.

My whole being been calm and my mind did not wander around or feel heavy with random stuff, like it usually did. I knew I had to get up and start working but a look at Linda and her sleeping form, made me change my mind.
