As the water hit me, I thought it was over. I knew there was no point in fighting it. I had made my choice and it was happening. A vicious wave hit me, knocking me down, dragging the air from my lungs. Even though my mind had made a decison, my body did NOT agree with it. I tried so hard to breath, tried to gasp and scream, tried to cry out, but I couldn't! I desperately clawed at the water, trying to shoot to the surface while my lungs swamped with the salty liquid!
