The other Alphas leaned in, their eyes fixed on her. "What is it?" Seth asked, his impatience evident.

Alexa's smile was cold and calculating. "We'll show the council our strength, but we'll do it in a way that doesn't start a war. We'll challenge their authority, but we'll do it in a way that makes them realize we're not to be underestimated."

Maya's eyes lit up with understanding. "You mean, like a show of power?"

Alexa nodded. "Exactly. We'll gather our forces and show the council what we're capable of. But we'll do it in a way that's controlled, calculated."

"And what exactly do you propose we do?"...
