I awake to the sound of someone coming into my room. I

jump out of bed and begin to shift into my wolf. Whoever is after my baby and me will die right here and now. I have been through enough, and no one is going to come in here and take her, not now or ever. I run toward the noise at the entrance to our room. I growl into the darkness when a figure steps out into the light and holds up his hand.
