They finished lunch and Gilbert paid up. Then they drove all the way to their office. Gilbert was lost in his own thoughts. He hadn't been able to ask her even today and would now have to face Maddox's wrath and lecture.

"Thank you for the lunch, " said Jacqueline with a radiant smile and went towards the reception desk to resume her duty. Gilbert nodded and went towards the elevator, wishing that he was a receptionist instead of the boss.

The rest of the day, Gilbert was neck deep in work, yet at the back of his mind, he had the wish to see what Jacqueline was up to....
