"Mum, this is not a good idea." I said as I entered the passenger seat and she turned on the ignition.

"Oh come on, Jasmine, it's just a game and he is my stepson." She answered, her smile so bright, I wondered if that was even possible.

"A stepson that hates the two of us." I tried to reason with her and she shrugged.
