Tabitha’s POV

“Aren’t you gonna eat something, Tabi?” Evelyn asks me the next day we are eating in the university cafeteria.

“I don’t have the appetite,” I reply and force a smile.

“I thought the mac and cheese was delicious. You sure you don’t wanna try some?” Andrew offers his plate.

“No, thanks. I’m good.”

“Are you okay? You look pale. Did you even get enough sleep last night?” Evelyn asks, concern etched in her voice.

“I did get some sleep. Though maybe not as much as I’d hoped for.” After the guards shooed me out of the restricted hallway last night, I just can’t bring myself to sleep again....
