Tabitha’s POV
I wake to the soft light spilling through the bedroom window. My eyes blink against it, and slowly, shapes come into focus. Four figures stand around the bed.
“You should really stop fainting every five minutes or we’re gonna die from a heart attack,” Jace says, voice edged with mock exasperation.
I let out a weak laugh and push myself up on my elbows. “I’m fine,” I say, my voice hoarse.
Luca steps closer, holding a glass of water. “Here. Drink this,” he says, offering it to me. I take it gratefully, the cool liquid soothing my dry throat.
