Evren doesn’t move for almost a minute. He just showers my cheek, neck, and ear with soft, dainty kisses, each one gentle enough to melt some of the tension in my body. I breathe slowly, letting myself settle into the warmth of him.

My hands trail up his back in quiet strokes, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breath beneath my palms. The closeness steadies me more than anything else. I trace the line of his shoulder, then his jaw, brushing my thumb along the curve of his cheek. He closes his eyes at the touch, leaning into it as if it means something to him...
