A Moment of Peace

I woke up happy. Not just from the physical warmth of Adrian’s body beside me, but something deeper. Something I hadn’t felt in a long time.  

I felt secure.

I shifted slightly, my bare skin brushing against his, and the memory of last night flooded back. The way he touched me, the way he….i pushed the memory back as I caught myself blushing.  

I turned my head, watching him in the early morning light filtering through the curtains. His face was relaxed, his breathing slow, his arm lazily draped around my waist like he had no intention of letting go.
