What did he just say?

I stare wide-eyed and stunned at Noah. He smirks and burst out laughing.

My eyes stay wide as he catches his breath and turns back towards me.

"Why are you looking at me like that? I'm serious." He sobers up and a chuckle bubbles up inside me as my stomach nearly collapses from the butterflies fluttering around inside.

He loves me? Or was that a joke?

"I love you, Eliana." He leans into me and pecks my lips.

Okay, maybe he was serious.
