I open my eyes. It is a fretful sleep, and now that I am awake and studying my surroundings, I completely forget about my dreams.

“How are you?” Klevon asks who is sitting on the side of my bed.

I sit up, and he supports me. We are in the basement of the sibling’s house. I hear activities from the top, probably some construction and rebuilding, based on the pounding against the wood.

“How long have I been sleeping?” I ask.

“Three days,” he answers. “They cooked soup. Do you like that?”
