“Miss, are you okay?”

I turned to the guard and nodded, but his gaze was fixed at Damon, glaring daggers at him. Damon's expression remained unfazed, rather a smirk was etched on his face, as if daring Luciano's men.

“Let's get going, I was about to leave before you guys came.” I said, trying to ease the tension.

Luciano's men nodded and we left.

All through the drive home, my unsettled mind continued to ponder, it's no new news that Luciano wouldn't know about what happened today and the mere thinking of what he might do, scares the shit out of me.
