"You haven't said anything, Giovan," I stated firmly, fixing my gaze on him with an intensity that I hoped would penetrate his apparent indifference.

He shifted slightly, his expression one of irritation, and shot back,

"And what do you want me to say?" The annoyance in his voice resonated, making my heart race with frustration.

I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on me, and replied,

"What do you mean, what do you want me to say? I'm pregnant with your child, for Pete's sake!" I couldn't contain the exasperation that seeped into my voice as I crossed my arms...
