I saw her and my world stopped.

Hanni. Standing there in the courtyard like she belonged. Like she had not ruined my life and ran away like a coward.

I tightened my grip on Lucas’a arm. He felt it and glanced at me, but I forced a smile on my face.

“Is something wrong?” He asked quietly

“Nothing at all,” I whispered. “Just….surprised by the hospitality.”
