The bright afternoon sun was warm on my skin as I leaned against the balcony. Below, wolves were still celebrating the end of the tournament with loud laughter and music.
Simone stood beside me, fanning her self with her hand. “Can you believe it is over? Three days of fighting and cheering and watching Marcus try to look serious while secretly loving every minute of it.”
I smiled. “He did well. You should be very proud.”
“Oh I am.” She grinned widely. “But do not tell him that. His head is big enough already.”
