“Simone?”

I called out again and again at her retreating back as she descended the corridors down the hall, and she turned to look at me in shock as if seeing me for the first time.

And to be honest…she might well be.

She took a quick glance over my shoulders and being certain I was alone, she smiled and said cheerily, “Princess.”

“Oh Simone..” I gushed and flew into her arms for I had missed her so much. “Where have you been? I have been at your chambers over and over again, but your chamber maids have no idea where you went.”
