Brandon has been closed up since Jodi last visited us, not to me and our boys though, but to himself.

"Hey baby." I wrapped my hand around him the moment he joined me on our bed.

"My love." He leaned to kiss the top of my head.

"How are you?" I asked.

"Is something the problem?" He looked at me, half amused.

"It was just a harmless question."

"Asking how I am by this time of the night sounds quite unusual." He was sitting now, huw back on the bed rest. "I'm good though."

"No, you're not." I joined him in sitting up.
