SCARLET’S POV

I could see the man running towards us from afar and I think he is calling out to me. Who is he and what does he want with me? It appears that he is not among those that are on this journey with us. Or could he be an escapee from the hands of the captors? Anyways, I have to wait to find out.

I immediately moved to the front to shield the ladies and I said to them. “You ladies should remain behind me”

I don’t know who the man is or his intents and so, we have to be careful.
