“Push... push... it is almost time, try and push harder”

I kept hearing the voices of the midwives and mama Ruth in the delivery ward encouraging Scarlet to persevere in bringing forth the baby.

“Hmmm... hmmm... hmmm... no...” Scarlet’s constant scream filled the whole place.

The screaming and shouting has been going on for close to an hour now and I continued to pace around the place, praying for the safety of Scarlet and the baby who is going to be my first niece or nephew.
