SCARLET’S POV

We have been with the old woman for some days now and she has been attending to my illness. Surprisingly, I have recorded tremendous improvement these past few days with her. Now I can move around without assistance and the weakness is almost completely gone.

I walked around trying to find her. “Hello, Nana” I called out as soon as I sighted the old woman by her old fireplace, heating the fire by adding logs of firewoods to it.

She had asked us to refer to her as Nana but has not said much about herself.

“Scar,” she said with her tiny voice as she fondly calls me....
