“Hey Tabitha, wake up”

It was almost midnight when Imogen woke me up from sleep. I groaned and struggled to open my eyes, forgetting what tonight is.

“You don’t want a guard coming to get you, do you?” she whispered even though it was just the two of us.

Oh yes, it is going to be tonight. The alpha would be deciding my fate tonight. I dragged myself out of the bed and stretched my body, making each bone shift and crack.

“You stayed over?” I asked.

“Of course, I did. I would not want the alpha waiting for you” she replied.
