Running back to the royal palace, their hearts were filled with grief, sorrow, and sadness. The mere fact that they were unable to save Dorian is already hunting them.

Every one of them replayed the moment when Dorian yelled at them to leave him behind—it is heartbreaking and devastating to think about.

Kaden's thoughts what had happened was all his fault—you have been shouldering the guilt, thinking Dorian was targeted because of his viciousness during the beginning of the battle. Perhaps if he had acted more calmly and collected, then they would have all escaped together.
